10. “Chaos”, by @sidvisuals_
Chaos by @sidvisuals_ shows us a snapshot of a world gone mad. Part of a continuing series that imagines a lost civilization, AI robots have gone rogue and begun their annihilation of humankind. A stormy dawn sky backlights weaponized robotic walkers destroying an urban center while their mechanized leader hails its destruction from the foreground. An expert use of light and aerial perspective make for a powerful composition.

9. “Buena Mano”, by @_skydubs
Buena Mano by @_skydubs could be the illustration of my favourite breakfast diner with its broken fan, chipped laminate tables and exposed pipes and ducts. While at first glance nothing much happens, fantastic details abound in this animation: vehicles whiz by the window, a television streams the news and a cook stirs while pots steam on the stove. Who couldn’t sit here all day in front of a plate of breakfast, watching the world zip by? In the words of the artist:
“Buena Mano ("good hand" - Spanish) for Filipinos means that the first customer to enter their business would invite luck throughout the day. This piece represents one's calmest part of the day where you'd just want to relax, have a cup or two of coffee, and just experience a little sense of tranquility, before heading on to the world.”

8. “Emotion”, by @rosi_popceto2
Emotion by @rosi_popceto2 employs religious iconography with an unexpected twist - of yarn! Knitting lace from a ball of sun, a holy person recrafts the world in this delightful mixed media work. I can only echo the artist’s sentiments:
“I believe that beauty will save the world.”

7. “Venus #1”, by @mohammadtp55
Venus #2 by @mohammadtp55 is a vison of loveliness. Its subject, a woman, as seen from behind, stands looking over a dawn lit landscape, the wind catching her hair and the sway of her skirt. Golden light imbues this painting in which the artist has captured just the right amount of detail.

6. “Co weed 420 Burn”, by @WtyFiw
Co weed 420 Burn by @WtyFiw is more fun than you can shake a (Thai) stick at! In this rollicking illustration, the subject hurtles toward the viewer with virus particles and asteroids in hot pursuit. The energy is explosive! I’ll let the artist describe it for you:
“We imagine a representative image of a hero. that comes with the widest smile and doesn't wear pants with a cat that sits in a bag ready to burn every covid virus that stands in his way.”

Utilizing dynamic geometrical shapes and a bright palette, New Art Nouveaux by @NftsRubim offers a modern update to classic design. In the artist's words:
"A contemporary and bold reinterpretation of the art nouveau movement, made with an eye on current trends and style, using present-day tools and techniques."

4. “#include 002”, by @NFTFeverDream
Today I learned from the APA Dictionary of Psychology that graphomania is the compulsive need to write – and that it can lead to graphorrhea - the compulsive writing of incoherent and meaningless words. #include 2 by @NFTFeverDream is a wiggling mass of syllables, cubed off and run brilliantly amok in this black and white illustration. As the artist explains their process:
“Each artwork in the #include series (each, a "Word") comprises a library of hand-drawn shapes ("Syllables," excluding my signature). Words will typically comprise x^2 (e.g., 4, 9, 25, 100) Syllables, and the number of Syllables in a given Word will be specified as a Property of the corresponding token. I endeavor for each Syllable in each Word to be unique. ...
you can see the lines #collapse hungrily, and start to feed on themselves. Much higher visual density. It's gonna get worse before it gets better.”

3. “o chão é lava”, by @braun_______
o chão é lava by @braun_______ is an abstract glitch work in 8-bit pixel glory. The dynamic colours run hot hot hot in this cool GIF so be sure you click through to see it. The ground is indeed lava!

2. “DOMC 002”, by @VI00___
Despite being a still image, DOMC 002 by @VI00___ rockets across the screen with the energy of jet fighters flashing across the sky or a shuttle about to launch itself from a space station. Its sharp angles and triangular composition make perfect use of its canvas. From the artist’s description:
“Deconstruction of minimalist cube compositions into random abstract compositional forms.”

1. “Daydreaming - The Gallow of Twisted Tree”, by @acess_memory
Daydreaming #3 - The Gallow of Twisted Tree by @acess_memory presents such a hauntingly dense and elaborately illustrated tree, that its noose seems innocuous in comparison. The use of various graphic styles (the sun with its white hot core, for example) firmly plants the weight of this tree in the foreground of the mind’s eye, outsizing others in its grove in purpose and effect.
