10. “Lilies”, by @MagdaGangsta
The painting Lilies by @MagdaGangsta depicts a beautiful vase of flowers turning in half-light and spilling off the canvas (sure signs of the “prosperity and abundance” that the artist alludes to in her description). While it would be easy to get lost in the details of the showy bouquet, the setting and background are expertly composed, providing the perfect glimpse of context to the arrangement. The beautiful red reflection on the sideboard - also picked up on the flower petals and vase – adds a dynamic element to the composition and offsets the cool blue tones that otherwise dominate the piece.

9. “Neon Vegas 2035”, by @nftexp99
The hyperlapse video Neon Vegas 2035 by @nftexp99 is comprised of 200 photographs with a 2-second exposure of a busy freeway at night. Taken from above by drone, the camera pans across the scene as cars zip through the warm orange light. In a (perhaps) surprising comparison, the snaking road and rushing curves are reminiscent of Ansel Adam’s photo,
Tetons and the Snake River is a comparison with diametrically opposed viewpoints between the natural and built environment.

8. “Me & my demon.”, by @RutjensShaun
Me & my demon. by @RutjensShaun depicts the artist with the proverbial devil on his shoulder. That this devil wears a halo makes no matter, because all of that greedy red shrieks fallen angel and hellfire. The artist’s use of cross-hatching alongside his red-hot tones creates wonderful depth to these characters – and their dynamic expressions.

7. “Wolf Night at Yoichi's”, by @Yishreah
Wolf Night at Yoichi's by @Yishreah is an updated dogs playing poker for our digital age. Wonderful details abound in this illustration, including how the host presents the bottle of sake to the merry group and the patterns throughout. In the artist’s words:
‘Hanging out at our friend's is the best place to gather.
All of us can be Yoichi or all of us can go to Yoichi's.
We hang out all night. We cook something to eat.
We open the best sake we save for special occasions.
We drink lots of beer, talk, laugh, and enjoy life together.
2nd Sequence from the Wolf Night Out, the Gensis.
Wolf Night at Yoichi's brings you back to that nostalgic moment with your good pals.
What else can be better than a cozy, chillax night at Yoichi's.’

6. “Blue light”, by @alikolomichenko
Blue light by @alikolomichenko uses a monochromatic blue palette in this figurative portrait of a woman looking into the distance. Moody and beautiful, the artist’s brushstrokes craft architectural structure while the use of blank (unpainted) canvas carve the figure from its background to turn in light. In the artist’s words:
‘Life is filled with many moments. I paint a small part of the fragments which I feel are beautiful or important in life. Perhaps you will find yourself in this.’

5. “dreaming”, by @Aqueous_WC
The mixed media work dreaming by @Aqueuos_WC combines watercolour, AI, and photography to a charming effect. Delicate and ethereal, light imbues this delightful piece – so redolent of spring – while its tilted horizon adds interest to the otherwise symmetrical composition, contributing to its dreamlike quality. In the artist’s words:
‘a release from reality is what we all need sometimes.’

4. “Rest attack”, by @RHYTHMTUX
Rest attack by @RHYTHMTUX is a late-night panic attack brought to life. A chaos of warring figures and ideas crash together in this brilliant and brightly coloured illustration. I love the detail of the Rubik’s cubes in the top center – as if there is still hope for solving life’s stressors and puzzles.

3. “treasure”, by @pardisabnft
treasure by @pardisabnft is the whimsy we need right now. A strangely adorable one-eyed winged creature cradles a glowing orb in a world beneath the waves in this well-balanced and fun piece. The wonderfully patterned sea foliage and contrasting palette make this a treasure indeed.

2. “_closer”, by @growthrev
_closer by @growthrev is a somber and meditative landscape/dreamscape. A dark foreground of densely packed foliage anchors the composition, inviting the viewer into a vaguely threatening world of burgeoning storm clouds and distant horizons. The sweeping cobalt blue provides sweet relief to the ideas swirling at its center.

1. “Healing”, by @teply_art
Healing by @teply_art is a magnificent illustration of two hands capturing water against a black ground. Hand-drawn, water pools in the gathered palms held open as if to receive communion (the Andres Serrano photograph Soeur Jeanne Myriam, Paris 1991 comes to mind) and splashes in perfect droplets around its finely detailed subject. Peaceful and calm, the artist has channeled the famous Bruce Lee quote “Be water.” From their description:
‘Just as water flows, we waste time chasing non-existent problems. Empty your mind, become amorphous, formless, like water. Reassemble yourself and give yourself a new form’
