10. “SLIME Island vs Planet PLUTO”, by @Eddieapollo
SLIME Island vs. Planet PLUTO by @Eddieapollo is a tribute to Atlanta hip hop artists, Young Thug (Slime), and Future (Pluto). Beats loop, mermaids leap in midair and stars stream across the sky as monstrous squids overtake marauding ships in this fun video work – there's something new to see every time I hit the play button. Watch it at the link and remember to turn your speakers on! In the artist's words:
“The animation imagines a chaotic island, on which a band of pirates, led by Future and Young Thug, clash with a host mythological creatures, inspired by the rappers respective brands and aesthetics.”

9. “Remix / 81_81”, by @tommykwakart
Remix / 81_81 by @tommykwak is a happy accident of digital art. Randomly generated by the vagaries of technology run amiss, this jam of digital images and photos is informed by the excellence of the original image composition. The sunny chartreuse and yellow soften the cool and aloof angles of the piece. In the artist's words:
“I was never so happy to get a printer jam which was the spark for this collection. By iteratively pushing and pulling the print by hand, I used the printer as a tool to smear, overlay, and distort, resulting in a "Remix" of my lifeguard towers images.”

8. “Somewhere... At the breakfast”, by @alohabeloha
Somewhere... At the breakfast by @alohabeloha is the surreal breakfast carnival of our eggy Easter dreams. Yolks parachute into pans, toast travels by train, and ketchup squirts in happy spurts. From the artist’s description:
“It was early morning. Ahead of him was a long journey and a hearty, delicious breakfast somewhere was, as always, by the way.”

7. “Me and Myself”, by @Blackmochi1111
The illustration Me and Myself by @Blackmochi1111 poses an interesting question. Who – or what version of yourself – do you see in the mirror? A black cat sits pensively in front of an ornate mirror, its internal thoughts captured as geometric abstractions in the reflection. The artist provides the viewer with important advice in their description:
“Mirror cat digital Art - esteem is always important to survive in the jungle.”

6. “Mafia Revenge #1”, by @Darkman_NFT
Mafia Revenge #1 by @Darkman_NFT is the first in a series of episodes where Darkman returns to his hometown only to find it a filthy crime-ridden shell of its former self. In this short, animated tableau, Darkman stands with three of his comrades on a busy street as rain and lightning slash down. Streetlights flicker ominously and thunder crashes around them in pathetic fallacy – a harbinger of what might come next. From the artist’s synopsis:
“Darkman has returned to his hometown after 10 years.
This is the entrance to the city.
A city whose heart is blackened.
A city where children do not laugh.
A city whose amusement parks are empty.
A city that does not know the meaning of happiness because it has not seen happiness.
Darkman wants revenge on those who
have blackened this city”

5. “Snow White”, by @NftsRubim
The drawing Snow White by @NftsRubim is a pattern that clamors to be duplicated and mirrored - and finally set in grout. Its clean fresh palette is a breath of fresh air - just in time for spring. As the artist describes their process:
“I create most of my work so it can become a pattern without division lines. Even this one that I named (preserving my sanity) Snow White.”

4. “MASK OF CALAMITY”, by @ZacShiffer
MASK OF CALAMITY by @ZacSchiffer is a haunting memento mori, a somber – if somewhat horrific – reminder to cherish the lives that surround you and to honor their eventual passing. Vines creep through and around the subject, centipedes spiral its skull and a soft, warm rose loses its bloom to time. In the artist's words:
“Following the untimely death of a good friend at the closing of 2021, I began to search deep within myself for answers concerning the phenomenon of death.
I became fascinated by the creation of death masks throughout history; facial molds made from wax or plaster from the recently deceased – the final likeness and essence of the physical body. A symbol of honor and respect to the dead, and a reminder to the living of a life lost.
Ancient Egyptians were among the first to create intricate, golden death masks through their belief that the body's need for a mask was mandatory, so that the soul could recognize it, and accompany it during the journey through the underworld.
This collection of work is my exploration of death masks, both conceptually and visually. Each mask is created through a combination of traditional and digital mixed media with running elements, symbolism, and metaphysical ideas.”

3. “duotone signature 01 agne.eth 25-II”, by @aotearoan
duotone signature 01 agne.eth 25-II by @aotearoan is one of the artist’s “generative abstract duotone representations of Ethereum wallet addresses’. Tones of green and purple romp through the geometric composition pulling the eye this way and that. How many parallelograms can you count? How about squares? Triangles? From the artist’s description:
“Generated duotone interpretation of the address agne.eth in the angular style”

2. “Rescue Dog #150”, by @PlanetPicture93
Rescue Dog #150 by @PlanetPicture93 is the mischievous good boy of NFT dogs. It’s hard to guess what kind of trouble this antlered and masked canine got into in his previous life, but I’m guessing there have been some good sock-stealing, sneaker-chewing fun. The playful stance and charming countenance will make you want to take him home.

1. “ Dispersion #008 Framed”, by @countrypiperuk
Dispersion #008 Framed by @countrypiperuk is part of a series that “explores the refraction and dispersion of light; particularly in relation to optics.” Colourful points dissipate and scatter softly through space. While dark, the mood is not somber so much as mysterious, and the image gleams as if the last vestiges of a fireworks display are hanging in vapor before you. From the artist’s description:
“Dispersion #008 or its full Name and Classification: COR CAROLI - Variable Star Of Alpha2 Cvn Type has now been discovered. Each Dispersion is linked to the stars and has been brought here to illuminate the world.”
