10. “Abnormal Artifacts N°98”, by @chaosalgorithm
Abnormal Artifacts N°98 by @chaosalgorithm is a beautiful example of digital abstraction. The jolts of acid green and hot pink in the primarily blue palette create a frisson of electricity amid the delicate structures of linework. From the artist’s description:
“As a coder seeking to discover the process where random generation transits from a chaotic order to an aesthetic form, my intention was to experiment with structural destruction and thus produce work that captures an artistic standpoint. In producing codebase that celebrates the destructive power of regeneration contained in disorder I was inspired by aesthetical projections of chaos. If I was to say one thing about Abnormal Artifacts, it is a work file where a coder reveals his inner world with his artistic and coding capabilities, expressing his sense of aesthetics to the fullest. Each geometrical representation, object, and method created during this expression process is a memory, a token. The art of coding involves means to represent chaos and serenity concurrently. That is the summarized story of the procedural architecture.”

9. “Contredanse OP.1”, by @joainmiro
From the series From Eden, Contredanse OP.1 by @joainmiro captures the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden as a digital painting. Reminiscent of Francis Bacon’s canvases, the digital painting teems with the emotion and carnal passion that humanity was cursed to enjoy. From the artist’s description:
“Attracting the abstraction of forms through manipulation of my own traditional paintings using Photoshop and feeding them to a Neural Network.”

8. “Ghost-Money #086”, by @_cryptophobia
Ghost-Money #086 by @_cryptophobia is not only hella cute – particularly for a piece of conceptual art - but part of a new series by the artist in which images are generated from the sounds of spoken words. From the artist’s description:
“This ghost is generated from spoken words audio frequency data of sentence:
‘This stupid generative ghost may generate you money...’
It’s a generative-art experiment and also a reading of our current NFT-Art situation.

7. “Top Class”, by @mich_tom
Top Class by @mich_tom is representative of the artist’s analogue collages made from vintage magazines. The torn and frayed labels are dynamically placed to move the eye about the composition and do double duty protecting the modesty of the models (and viewer) from the arresting images of skin. Those knee socks though!

6. “Conference call”, by @CaptBadger_art
“Can you hear me?”
“Yes, can you hear me?”
Conference call by @CaptBadger_art deftly illustrates how many of us feel about the dreaded video meetings we’ve been forced to endure over the past couple of years. The smiling (disengaged) face, the talking heads, and the viper at the electronic center of it all. In the words of the artist:
“Blahhhhh blahhhhhh blahhhh”

5. “Artefact #001: Midnight Parade <anomaly>”, by @kaihillarts
Artefact #001: Midnight Parade <anomaly> by @kaihillarts showcases layers of light over a blurred (and possibly double exposed) image. Its nightclub vibe belies the skill evident in its creation – this is no happy accident of the camera. From the artist’s description:
“Each edition represents a foreign artefact frozen between two points in time: bright spectres emblazoned upon our tellurian realm; beacons that call to us as they dance in the night, breaching the threshold of our mortal domain”

4. “The Painter's Megastar”, by @edfrenchart
The collage The Painter’s Megastar by @edfrenchart tells the age-old tale of the gorgeous starlet blinded by celebrity and lost to the jungles of Hollywood - but through the eyes of a painter, she had once modeled for. Bright pop art colours and symbols inform the layers of meaning in this collage. The story as the artist tells it:
“The painter lady is a curious person. Adored by many for her beautiful paintings that come to life. Others terrified of what she might paint next. A wandering soul through space and time.
She returned to Hollywood the land of dreams! The painter had been here before, many years ago. She had met a young girl who was trying to make it in the movie biz. This girl planned to be the most famous actress in the world. But alas she got embroiled in the dark side of Hollywood and was never seen again.”

3. “II : Umber wreath”, by @lcrypt0saurusl
A simple palette of raw umber and delicate pinks creates a sumptuous floral wreath in II: Umber wreath by @lcrypt0saurusl. In stark contrast to the geometric frame, the organic circular composition creates a dreamy and romantic effect. From the artists’ description:
"I'll give him a wreath, when the old king falls asleep. My fingers will interlace cold steel and whithered sprouts. Oh those poor flowers which haven’t been born on the life field… Sleep my king, my tears will bond tender blossom and shackles of your crown…Longlive under the pressure of a pain giving glory."

2. “Portrait in Silence”, by @anaida26
In the figurative illustration Portrait in Silence by @anaida26, facial cutouts display the bright world within the silent subject. A bright halo emanates from her, subsuming the duller organic shapes that make up the background. As quoted by the artist:
"Woman, to women silence is the best ornament." Sophocles

1. “Dreamland”, by @MJuventa
The painting Dreamland by @MJuventa combines abstract with figurative imagery to stunning effect. The vibrant use of ultramarine and cerulean blues unites the composition while a slash of emerald green slices through abstraction to create an additional plane. The legs disappearing into the background suggest the figure is there as a witness apart from the scene itself. From the artist’s description:
“Dreamland is a sequel to the story "Sopka" about a magical place from my childhood, when the lake seems like the sea, strange and mysterious creatures live in it, and you look through the clouds, immersed in memories of a forgotten land. From behind the mountains someone's eyes are watching you, strange animals are hiding in the forest, and the lake, like a wonderful mirror, reflects the fantastic sky.”
