10. “fires of dumbshit”, by @xubizxxx
fires of dumbshit by @xubizxxx is the NFT illustration that defines the trash fire of our times. Homeownership, car ownership, rising inflation, plummeting crypto – thank dogs for Purple Haze – because it’s all too much to contemplate at once (much like this image). From the artists’ description:
“Hi, spend my days alone ever since, mom came by once. She brought a frame, I think she took the first thing she saw. An ordinary frame exists everywhere. Anyway, if you heard about the fire, it's nothing to worry about, Psyche fine. I bought some weed in debt. Purple Haze. I burned it, Then I was thinking, you know things are not very good here, really not good, my father was able to buy a house and a car with difficulty, but he was thinking, he could dream. I can never dream of ever having them. The cigarette I lit ignited the curtain as I struggled with future concerns. I was scared, I waited, it just burned more, then the fire brigade came. The neighborhood gathered. Absurd. Anyway Psyche is kinda weird since you've been gone, it's ripped me apart. The stupid cat thinks you went downstairs and tried to run away from the house, I tried to catch and I barely managed to save myself. I hope you are not too late. Everything is fine. Don't mind the unicorn, it lost. With love, dumpshit.”

9. “After Leonardo”, by @TheHCTurk
After Leonardo by @TheHCTurk is a physical painting composed from cut-out forms and inspired by a Leonardo da Vinci drawing. (I assume the artist didn’t mean DiCaprio!) Vibrant washes of colour weave in and out of monochromatic grey forms and white areas of negative space, bringing additional interest to the composition. From the artist's description.
“This image is the digital enhancement of my small acrylic painting (7" x 10") whose composition is abstractly based on a drawing by Leonardo. After scanning the painting, I introduced it to an image editor, changing it from modern art to the future art of NFTs.
The creative process is fully described here (regarding another painting):

8. “Love”, by @Bezmiar1
The video Love by @Bezmiar1 slowly revolves along its axis as the stars spin in double time – the nature of change and love and growth. Click through to enjoy the rotating figure with its punched-out heart of light that another figure inhabits. From the artist’s description:
“We are not the same person this year as last; nor are those we love. It is a happy chance if we, changing, continue to love a changed person.”

May viewing The Ritual by @Shillspeare create the spell that sends those bears back into hibernation! Flaming skies, fiery runes, and animal torch bearers create a sense of foreboding in this decidedly wicked piece – click-through for full effect. From the artist’s description:
“Aphrodite, fair and mighty, take this form of fixed stone, and turn her back to flesh and bone. As below, so above I yield to you my truest love.”

5. “Newton's Escape”, by @MusicWildemann & @pipouz01
Newton’s Escape by @MusicWildemann is a thrilling chase through the woods at night – I don’t know who Newton is nor why they’re running. but I can tell you that the original musical score will have your heart [pounding in action movie style. Sound on! From the artist’s description:
"Newton, Erba's well-known character decides to enter the dangerous world of @wildemanmusic.... prepare to run. Living Cover by Raphael Erba @pipouz01”

4. “Icarus”, by @Foleee1
Icarus by @Foleee1 utilizes light and shadow to craft a compelling painting. Of particular note is the artist’s mastery of texture as evidenced by the contrast between the smooth skin of the subject’s breast against the exquisitely handled fabric. From the artist's description:
“Too close to the sun, too close to that blinding light”

3. “CP #32”, by @OLYAinMETA
From the collection Collage People, CP #32 by @OLYAinMETA is irreverent fun and this week’s best example of trash art thanks to its over-the-top colour and glitchy digital texture. Toucans roller skate – who knew!?!

2. “Femininity #9”, by @44rtRoom
Femininity #9 by @44rtRoom is an entrancing and surreal illustration of a woman with a vagina surrounded by foliage in place of her head. The detailed leaves with their sparks of green contrast with the sunset sky, but most charming of all is the shyness and modesty of the subject herself. From the artist’s description:
“This collection is about women and femininity. 🌸💮 Woman is a symbol of nature, fertility, and growth. To inspire this concept, I combined Vajina [sic] with plants and plant elements.”

1. “Point”, by @abdi_nft
In the illustration Point by @abdi_nft, hands dig into soil rich with tree roots and insects. Vines and worms writhe and twist with dragon-like spikes in a possible attempt to thwart the giant invaders while bright butterflies join to witness the scene from the edges. A compelling perspective and multi-varied patterns make for a magical composition.
From the artist’s description:
“many elements of events starting from a point that will be dug into an eternal story”
